Miami Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley is considering changes to the lineup after the team opened the season 0-2, while several players face injury questions ahead of the Sept. 27 home game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Edge rusher Chop Robinson did not play in the loss to the San Francisco 49ers because of his third concussion within a year. Hafley said Robinson is progressing as expected, with his status to be evaluated again Wednesday. Receiver Caleb Douglas, who was seen using a walking boot after the game, has an ankle injury that could affect his availability.
Running back Jaylen Wright is listed as day to day after suffering a stinger.
The Dolphins have scored 26 points and allowed 62 through two games, leaving them with a minus-36 point differential. Hafley acknowledged that coaches have discussed possible changes at some positions, though he did not indicate that Austin Jackson’s spot at right tackle was necessarily among them.
Jackson has drawn criticism after the 35-13 defeat, but Hafley noted that he faced defensive standouts Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders and Nick Bosa of the 49ers.
A change at punter also does not appear imminent after Bradley Pinion lost control of a snap while attempting a punt against San Francisco, setting up a short field that led to a touchdown. Hafley also cited inconsistency in his assessment of quarterback Malik Willis, who has completed 29 of 50 passes for 417 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
