Miami Dolphins coach Jeff Hafley said the team does not yet know how serious rookie receiver Caleb Douglas' leg injury is after the team's Week 2 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

Douglas was hurt while blocking for a running play and left the game after his leg was rolled on during the play. He later was seen wearing a walking boot, although the initial indication was that the injury might not be severe.

"I think it's too early to tell. I'm really not sure yet. We'll see how that goes," Hafley said about Douglas' condition.

Douglas had five catches for 94 yards in Miami's Week 1 game. He has been part of the Dolphins' starting receiver group along with Malik Washington and fellow rookie Chris Bell. The source said the three receivers have not yet built strong chemistry with quarterback Malik Willis.

Jalen Tolbert could receive a larger role if Douglas is unavailable, but he has not been active for a regular-season game.

Miami relied more heavily on its rushing attack against San Francisco. De'Von Achane ran for 74 yards, up from the 36 yards he recorded against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Dolphins enter Week 3 without a victory and are scheduled to face the Kansas City Chiefs.

Hafley also provided updates on edge rusher Chop Robinson and running back Jaylen Wright. Robinson missed the 49ers game after sustaining a concussion in practice, and Hafley said Robinson had made progress and could be in better condition by Wednesday, when the first injury report is due. Wright was removed late in the game and was described by Hafley as day-to-day.
