The Jets’ offense struggled to sustain drives, but they managed to tie the game at 10-10 when Ayden Garnes returned an interception 47 yards for a touchdown. Cade York added another field goal before halftime to make it 13-10 in favor of New York.
The third quarter saw Josh Williams break through with a 12-yard rushing touchdown for the Buccaneers, assisted by Potter’s kick, giving Tampa Bay a 17-13 lead. The Jets attempted to rally in the fourth period, with Jason Sanders booting a 47-yard field goal to narrow the gap to 24-16 after Daniels’ go-ahead score.
