Nocatee, Florida — Gas prices in the Jacksonville area averaged $3.8430 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 2, 2026, according to AAA, up from $3.8130 yesterday. That is down from $3.8520 a week ago and lower than $3.9950 a month ago.
The statewide average in Florida stands at $3.8330, while the national average is $3.8380. Drivers in the Jacksonville area are paying above the state average and above the national average.
The Jacksonville average remains below its recorded high of $4.8830, set on June 13, 2022. Regular prices are about 15 cents lower than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $3.1220, drivers are paying about 72 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Jacksonville area averages $4.5450 per gallon, AAA reported.
