Nocatee, Florida — Gas prices in the Jacksonville area averaged $3.7960 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 4, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.8220 yesterday. That is down from $3.8250 a week ago and lower than $3.8910 a month ago.
The statewide average in Florida stands at $3.7910, while the national average is $3.8100. Drivers in the Jacksonville area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Jacksonville average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8830. Regular prices are about 10 cents lower than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $3.1020, drivers are paying about 69 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Jacksonville area averages $4.5280 per gallon, AAA reported.
