Nocatee, Florida — Gas prices in the Jacksonville area averaged $4.3262 per gallon for regular unleaded on September 17, 2026, according to AAA, up from $4.1817 yesterday. That is up from $4.1653 a week ago but higher than $3.8468 a month ago.
The statewide average in Florida stands at $4.2986, while the national average is $4.4386. Drivers in the Jacksonville area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Jacksonville average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8830. Regular prices are about 48 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $3.2283, drivers are paying about 110 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Jacksonville area averages $6.3531 per gallon, AAA reported.
