Serious Injuries Reported After Vehicle Fire in St. Johns County

Emergency crews responded to a significant vehicle fire in St. Johns County on Friday evening, resulting in serious injuries for at least one individual. The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. near the 300 block of Kendal Crossing Drive, a location situated approximately 8 miles west of Nocatee.

St. Johns County Fire Rescue units arrived at the scene to discover a passenger vehicle fully engulfed in flames. Firefighters immediately began efforts to suppress the fire and provide medical assistance to a person trapped inside the burning car.

Once the flames were controlled, emergency personnel administered on-scene medical care to the injured occupant. The individual sustained serious injuries during the incident and required advanced medical transport.

An air ambulance was dispatched to the scene to evacuate the patient. The injured person was subsequently transported by air to a local trauma center for further treatment. Details regarding the specific nature of the injuries or the cause of the fire were not provided in initial reports.
