Nocatee, Florida — Gas prices in the Jacksonville area averaged $3.7730 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 5, 2026, according to AAA, down from $3.7960 yesterday. That is down from $3.8060 a week ago and lower than $3.8550 a month ago.
The statewide average in Florida stands at $3.7710, while the national average is $3.8040. Drivers in the Jacksonville area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Jacksonville average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8830. Regular prices are about 8 cents lower than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $3.0820, drivers are paying about 69 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Jacksonville area averages $4.5080 per gallon, AAA reported.
