Florida State has extended a scholarship offer to Coaleon Johnson, a cornerback at Iowa Western Community College who is being considered for the Seminoles’ 2027 recruiting class.
Johnson announced the offer on Sept. 14. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound player is also drawing interest from SMU, Oklahoma State, Kansas State and UConn.
UConn has scheduled Johnson for an official visit on Nov. 13, when the school is set to host James Madison. Johnson is also arranging his first official visit to Florida State, although a date for that trip has not been provided.
“I like the environment, the culture and everything of Florida State,” Johnson told Rivals. “I'll be going on an official visit soon.”
Johnson is from the Chicago area and attended Orr Academy in high school. He played for Rochester Community and Technical College in Minnesota in 2025, recording 55 tackles, one tackle for loss, three fumble recoveries and six interceptions. One fumble recovery and one interception were returned for touchdowns, and he received First-Team JUCO All-American recognition.
