Nocatee, Florida — Gas prices in the Jacksonville area averaged $4.2923 per gallon for regular unleaded on September 21, 2026, according to AAA, down from $4.3104 yesterday. That is up from $4.1396 a week ago but higher than $3.9084 a month ago.
The statewide average in Florida stands at $4.2807, while the national average is $4.4786. Drivers in the Jacksonville area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Jacksonville average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8830. Regular prices are about 38 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $3.1375, drivers are paying about 115 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Jacksonville area averages $6.2695 per gallon, AAA reported.
