Nocatee, Florida — Gas prices in the Jacksonville area averaged $4.2579 per gallon for regular unleaded on September 22, 2026, according to AAA, down from $4.2923 yesterday. That is up from $4.1225 a week ago but higher than $3.8658 a month ago.
The statewide average in Florida stands at $4.2423, while the national average is $4.4750. Drivers in the Jacksonville area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Jacksonville average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8830. Regular prices are about 39 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $3.1187, drivers are paying about 114 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Jacksonville area averages $6.2448 per gallon, AAA reported.
