A semi-truck overturned on Interstate 95 in St. Johns County on Friday morning, bringing traffic to a halt. The incident occurred near International Golf Parkway, scattering debris across the roadway and obstructing travel for commuters.

According to St. Johns County Fire Rescue, all southbound lanes were initially blocked following the crash. Some northbound lanes were also impacted by the incident. The agency confirmed that one individual involved was transported to a hospital in serious condition.

By 8:40 a.m., emergency crews had cleared enough space to reopen one southbound travel lane. Drivers in the area were advised to expect delays as recovery operations continued.

St. Johns is about 8 miles west of Nocatee.
