Spencer Calvert, the president of Pineapple Corp., entered guilty pleas to all 45 felony counts in his case regarding unfinished residential construction in Nocatee. The plea follows the collapse of a previous negotiated agreement that was rejected by victims in late February.

Court records indicate that between 2019 and 2023, Calvert accepted payments from multiple clients for home construction projects in St. Johns County but failed to complete the work. The charges include one count of organized scheme to defraud more than $50,000, 15 counts of grand theft exceeding $100,000, one count of grand theft involving misappropriation of construction funds of $100,000 or more, 26 counts of misappropriation of construction funds ranging from $1,000 to $100,000, and one count involving funds less than $1,000.

The State Attorney's Office stated that the current plea agreement mandates Calvert to pay $8,722,659 in restitution. In addition to the total restitution amount, he is required to pay $1 million by the time of his sentencing on July 14. This portion of the payment will be distributed among the victims according to their percentage of the total financial loss.

Calvert faces a potential prison sentence of up to five years, followed by 30 years of probation. The agreement allows for the possibility of early termination of probation if the full restitution is paid. A minimum monthly payment schedule will be established during the upcoming sentencing hearing.

The case drew public attention due to the involvement of reality television personality Capt. Sandy Yawn, one of the affected clients. Yawn and other former clients previously voiced objections to an earlier plea deal during a hearing in February 2026, which led to the agreement's rejection. At that time, victims read impact statements detailing the financial damage caused by the failed construction projects.

Calvert made his initial court appearance in Jacksonville in February 2024. The unfinished homes associated with his company's projects remain a central focus of the fraud allegations. Further details regarding the distribution of remaining assets from lots owned by Calvert or Pineapple Corp. were not fully detailed in the provided reports.
