Box Truck Fire on I-95 Near SR 206 Extinguished in St. Johns County

St. Johns County Fire Rescue crews put out a fully involved box truck fire on Interstate 95 Friday morning with no reported injuries.

Emergency responders addressed a significant vehicle fire on Interstate 95 early Friday morning in St. Johns County. The incident occurred just south of State Road 206, an area located approximately 8 miles west of Nocatee.

St. Johns County Fire Rescue units arrived at the scene to discover the cab of a box truck completely engulfed in flames. The vehicle was stationary on the roadway when firefighters began their assessment.

According to the fire rescue department, crews moved quickly to suppress the blaze. They successfully brought the fire under control and fully extinguished the flames. The department confirmed that the operation concluded without incident.

Officials reported that no injuries were associated with the event. It remains unclear whether any traffic delays occurred or how long the roadway was closed during the response.

The cause of the fire has not been determined. Investigators have not yet released details regarding the condition of the truck or the identity of the driver.
