St. Johns County Fire Rescue responded to a significant vehicle fire in St. Johns on Friday evening. The incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. in the 300 block of Kendal Crossing Drive, where firefighters discovered a passenger car fully engulfed in flames.

Upon arrival, emergency personnel worked to suppress the fire and provide immediate medical attention to an individual trapped within the vehicle. The severity of the situation required advanced medical transport. The injured person was stabilized on-site before being loaded onto an air ambulance.

The patient was subsequently flown to a local trauma center. Authorities confirmed that the individual sustained serious injuries during the blaze. The specific cause of the fire has not been disclosed.
