The Jacksonville Jaguars have waived quarterback Carter Bradley, who was released with an injury settlement after sustaining an injury during the preseason preparations.
An injury settlement allows a player to receive compensation from the team that releases them, based on the injury's severity and the player's potential earnings if they had remained healthy. Bradley, now free from the team, will aim to recover fully and seek another opportunity in the NFL.
Carter Bradley, 26, is the son of Gus Bradley, a former NFL head coach currently serving as the defensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans. Originally from Fargo, North Dakota, Bradley played high school football in the Jacksonville area before attending Toledo and later transferring to South Alabama, where he earned all-conference recognition.
Bradley entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Las Vegas Raiders in 2024, but he has struggled to secure a permanent roster spot. His only stint on an active NFL roster was in December 2024 with the Raiders.
After being cut by Las Vegas in July 2025, he briefly joined the San Francisco 49ers before signing with the Jaguars' practice squad, where he remained throughout the 2025 season and offseason.
