Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Jakobi Meyers participated in limited team drills on Wednesday while recovering from a right thumb injury. According to Ryan O'Halloran of The Florida Times-Union, Meyers wore a non-contact jersey for the second straight day as he worked to protect the injured hand.
Meyers has been able to practice in some capacity during the first two days of Week 1 preparation. This continued participation is viewed as a generally positive indicator regarding his availability for Sunday's matchup against the Cleveland Browns.
However, his status remains subject to change based on upcoming practice sessions. To avoid being placed on the reserve/non-football injury designation for the weekend, Meyers will likely need to participate in a full practice session on Friday.
It is not yet clear if he will be cleared for full contact by that time or if the team will make a roster move before the game against Cleveland.
