Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington is unlikely to reach a contract extension before the season starts, according to a report from NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe.
Washington is entering the final year of his initial four-year contract and is expected to play the current season without a new agreement. He is coming off the best season of his career.
Contract discussions reportedly included a deal in the range of Michael Wilson's three-year, $75 million contract, but those talks have paused. An extension could still be completed after Week 1, though the timing is not yet clear.
