Nocatee, Florida — Gas prices in the Jacksonville area averaged $4.1568 per gallon for regular unleaded on September 12, 2026, according to AAA, down from $4.1636 yesterday. That is up from $3.9297 a week ago but higher than $3.9588 a month ago.
The statewide average in Florida stands at $4.1515, while the national average is $4.3104. Drivers in the Jacksonville area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Jacksonville average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8830. Regular prices are about 20 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.9874, drivers are paying about 117 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Jacksonville area averages $6.2749 per gallon, AAA reported.
