Multiple players from the Miami Dolphins and New York Giants were removed from a joint practice session in Miami Gardens after a series of physical confrontations interrupted the workout. The incident occurred at the Baptist Health Training Complex, where scuffles on both fields required coaches to intervene to separate the athletes.

Dolphins offensive tackle Austin Jackson and Giants right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor were among those taken off the field. Jackson was removed after throwing a punch at Giants rookie linebacker Arvell Reese. Immediately following the contact, Giants linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux shoved Jackson to the ground.

In accordance with team rules, Jackson was replaced by offensive lineman Caedan Wallace for a period, though he returned to the lineup during the final segment of team drills.

Eluemunor was also removed from the session. Giants head coach John Harbaugh explained that the decision was based on the player striking an opponent in the face mask. Harbaugh noted that such an action would result in a penalty in a regular game, leading to the player's removal from the end of the practice.

Quarterback Jameis Winston was also pulled from the field for a brief period after becoming involved in a scrum. Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart stated that he witnessed the red jersey of Winston during the altercation and felt compelled to intervene to assist his teammate. The situation was quickly defused, causing only a temporary halt to the action.

Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley had stated prior to the practice that any player throwing a punch would be removed from the session. He expressed that he would be disappointed if such an outcome occurred. Despite the physical nature of the workout, both coaching staffs indicated that the session was productive.

Dolphins center Aaron Brewer noted that while the team aimed to maintain composure, the competitive nature of the practice led to intense play. Giants outside linebacker Brian Burns described his unit's performance as dominant, citing multiple sacks of Giants quarterback Malik Willis during the session.
