The Miami Dolphins have made recent roster adjustments, signing rookie free agent defensive lineman Cam Rice and waiving safety Tanner Wall. This move comes as the team deals with injuries at various positions.

Cam Rice, who completed his college career at Maryland in 2025, had not signed with any team since going undrafted. Tanner Wall, who was signed just ten days prior as a rookie free agent from Brigham Young, has been released as part of the team's ongoing personnel changes.

The Dolphins are looking to bolster their safety position, especially with projected starter Dante Trader Jr. returning to practice. Although Trader was held out of team drills, he is expected to be nearing a full return. Rookie Kyle Louis is also taking on additional safety responsibilities alongside his linebacker duties, following guidance from head coach Jeff Hafley.

The safety group now includes Trader, Louis, rookie fifth-round pick Michael Taaffe, free agent Louis Moore, veteran Lonnie Johnson Jr., UFL import Major Burns, and recent free agent acquisition Zayne Anderson. Rice will wear the number 58 as he joins a defensive line that has been missing Zach Sieler and Kenneth Grant during practice.

In addition to these moves, the Dolphins have made several transactions throughout August, including signing tight end Jeremiah Franklin, acquiring offensive lineman Caedan Wallace, and placing players on injured reserve. The team's roster changes reflect their strategy to address injuries and improve their lineup as they prepare for the upcoming season.
