The game began with a quick strike by the home team. In the fourth inning, Yandy Diaz homered to center field for a 441-foot solo shot, giving Tampa Bay a 1-0 lead. Baltimore tied the game in the fifth inning when Austin Hays singled to center, allowing a run to score.
Later in the fifth, Juan Soto doubled to left, driving in two runs to put the Orioles ahead 3-1.
The decisive blow came in the sixth. Gunnar Henderson homered to right center for 392 feet, scoring one run and bringing the total to 5-1. Austin Hays then doubled to center, driving in two more runs.
Finally, Anthony Santander doubled to left, driving in three runs to make the score 10-1. Tampa Bay scored their second run in the bottom of the sixth when Wander Franco singled to right, allowing Yandy Diaz to score.
