The Baltimore Orioles turned the tide of the game with a massive offensive outburst in the sixth inning, scoring seven runs to secure a 10-2 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays. The away team had trailed 1-1 entering the sixth before their lineup connected consistently. Adley Rutschman's performance was not the sole driver, as multiple hitters contributed to the rally that broke the game open.

Key Hits and Scoring

The game began with a quick strike by the home team. In the fourth inning, Yandy Diaz homered to center field for a 441-foot solo shot, giving Tampa Bay a 1-0 lead. Baltimore tied the game in the fifth inning when Austin Hays singled to center, allowing a run to score.

Later in the fifth, Juan Soto doubled to left, driving in two runs to put the Orioles ahead 3-1.

For Tampa Bay, Freddy Peralta took the loss after pitching 4.2 innings, allowing one hit and two earned runs while walking three. Garrett Cleavinger, Steven Matz, and Joe Boyle shared the remaining relief duties. Joe Boyle pitched 3.1 innings, allowing two hits and two earned runs while walking three and striking out five.

Final Records

The Orioles improve their record to 61-63, while the Rays drop to 74-49. The game was played at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, with an attendance of 18,598.
