UF Health Durbin Park, a major new medical facility in St. Johns County, Florida, is scheduled to open in the fall of 2026. The development aims to expand healthcare access for residents in one of Northeast Florida’s fastest-growing regions by consolidating various medical services into a single location.
The campus is situated in northeast St. Johns County, just south of the Duval County line. At its core is a five-story hospital spanning 220,000 square feet with 99 inpatient beds. The facility will offer 24-hour emergency care, six operating rooms, and two endoscopy suites. Advanced cardiac and radiology services will also be available on-site.
Beyond the main hospital building, the development includes a 72,000-square-foot medical office building designed to house multiple specialties. Providers in cardiology, surgery, gynecology, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, ear, nose and throat care, pain management, and urology are expected to operate from the campus. Rehabilitation services and laboratory testing will further support patient care.
UF Health estimates the project will generate 2,000 new jobs in the area. The organization also plans to use the site to support medical research, clinical trials, and the training of future healthcare professionals. This expansion is part of a broader trend of increased healthcare infrastructure investment in St. Johns County as its population grows.
Other recent developments in the county include Baptist Health’s SilverLeaf Medical Campus in western St. Johns County, which opened in June with primary care and cardiology services. AdventHealth has also added capacity with the Treaty Oaks ER, a 12-bed emergency facility, and has announced plans for a second emergency department at World Commerce Center.
