Christian Contreras delivered the game-winning hit in the bottom of the ninth inning, launching a three-run home run to center field that gave the Milwaukee Brewers a 3-1 victory over the Miami Marlins on Sunday at American Family Field. The blast, measured at 411 feet, scored Mauricio Dubon and Jackson Chourio, turning a 1-1 tie into a decisive advantage for the home team.

The contest remained scoreless until the third inning when Miami’s Jesus Ruiz broke the deadlock. Ruiz homered to left field, a 420-foot shot that gave the Marlins a 1-0 lead. Miami’s pitching staff maintained that advantage through the middle innings, with Eury Perez leading the charge.
Perez pitched six innings, allowing one hit and no earned runs while striking out nine batters. He was joined in relief by Cade Gibson, who faced two batters and allowed one hit, and Michael Petersen, who recorded the final out of the seventh inning with a strikeout.
The Brewers’ offense struggled to generate runs against Perez and the Marlins’ bullpen. Robert Gasser started for Milwaukee, pitching five innings and allowing one earned run on three hits with five strikeouts. Chad Patrick worked two scoreless innings, striking out three batters.
