The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have brought back Sean Murphy-Bunting, a former second-round pick, to their practice squad. Murphy-Bunting was part of the Buccaneers' Super Bowl LV-winning team in 2020, contributing significantly as a rookie.

After spending four seasons with Tampa Bay, Murphy-Bunting played with the Tennessee Titans in 2023 and the Arizona Cardinals in 2024. However, he missed the entire 2024 season due to a torn ACL and was released by the Cardinals during the recent cutdown period.

Murphy-Bunting is known for his versatility, able to play both in the slot and outside. Over his career, he has recorded 11 interceptions and 297 combined tackles. Although he will start the upcoming season on the practice squad, there is potential for him to be elevated to the active roster as the season progresses.

Head coach Todd Bowles, who was Murphy-Bunting's Defensive Coordinator during his initial time with the Buccaneers, is expected to play a key role in his integration back into the team.
