Chase McLaughlin is set to be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' primary placekicker for the fourth consecutive season in 2026.
Throughout his career, McLaughlin has had limited opportunities early on, but he has participated in 16 or 17 games each year for the past five seasons, with the last three being with the Buccaneers. He achieved an impressive accuracy rate of 94 percent on field-goal attempts during his first two seasons with the team.
In the previous season, McLaughlin's accuracy dropped slightly to 84 percent; however, he achieved a career milestone by successfully making 11 field goals from over 50 yards out on 12 attempts. He is entering the final year of the three-year contract he signed in 2024, which may motivate him to perform at a high level this season.
