Rueben Bain is cleared to play in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ regular-season opener against Cincinnati on Sunday, giving the rookie a path to his first NFL appearance.
Bain began the week listed as a limited participant because of an AC joint sprain in his right shoulder. He practiced without restrictions Thursday and Friday, and the Buccaneers removed his injury designation before the game.
Tampa Bay selected Bain 15th overall in the 2026 NFL Draft. He and Yaya Diaby are projected to start at edge rusher, while Al-Quadin Muhammad, Anthony Nelson and David Walker are expected to rotate into the position.
