The Miami Dolphins have invited free agent linebackers Jaheim Thomas and Kenneth Murray to their facilities for workouts on Monday. This decision follows an announcement by head coach Jeff Hafley that rookie linebacker Trey Moore will be sidelined for an extended period due to an ankle injury sustained during a preseason game against the New York Giants.
Moore was injured in the first quarter of the game while attempting to block a pass thrown by quarterback Jameis Winston. After landing awkwardly, he was unable to put weight on his left leg and was subsequently carted off the field.
Jaheim Thomas, who went undrafted in 2025, previously played college football at Cincinnati, Arkansas, and Wisconsin. He had a tryout with the Carolina Panthers but did not sign. Most recently, he played for the Louisville Kings in the United Football League, where he contributed to the team's league title and recorded 64 tackles, two passes defensed, and half a sack in ten games.
Kenneth Murray was a first-round draft pick by the Los Angeles Chargers in 2020 and has since played for the Chargers and the Tennessee Titans before being traded to the Dallas Cowboys. Over his career, he has accumulated 497 tackles, 14 passes defensed, three interceptions, and 9.5 sacks.
