The Miami Dolphins have acquired running back Jarquez Hunter from the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for wide receiver Tutu Atwell, as reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Hunter, who was selected in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL Draft, had a limited impact during his rookie season, participating in only 22 snaps on special teams across five games. He struggled to secure a significant role behind Rams running backs Kyren Williams and Blake Corum.
With the Dolphins, Hunter will have an opportunity to compete for the No. 3 running back position against Ollie Gordon, who is currently dealing with a rib injury. However, it remains uncertain if Hunter will secure a spot on the active roster or begin the 2026 season on the practice squad.
