The Miami Dolphins announced a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars today, agreeing to send quarterback Quinn Ewers in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2028 NFL Draft, pending a physical.
Quinn Ewers has played in four games, starting three, during his time with the Dolphins in the 2025 season. He completed 55 passes out of 83 attempts, totaling 622 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions. Ewers was selected by Miami in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft.
Before joining the Dolphins, Ewers had a successful collegiate career at Texas from 2022 to 2024. He started 36 games, completing 737 of 1,135 passing attempts for 9,128 yards, with 68 touchdowns and 24 interceptions. His achievements include being named a two-time second-team all-conference selection and earning honorable mention as the Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year in 2022.
Ewers also led Texas to the College Football Playoff Semifinals in both 2023 and 2024, winning the Big 12 Championship in 2023 and participating in the SEC Championship Game in 2024.
