The Jacksonville Jaguars have finalized their 53-man roster, resulting in the release of numerous players as the team trimmed its squad from 90. Among those retained were quarterback Nick Mullens and several wide receivers, including Tim Jones and Austin Trammell, who were added to the practice squad.
Not all players were kept, and some have since signed with other teams. Offensive lineman Chuma Edoga, who was a free agent addition last year, has joined the Baltimore Ravens' practice squad after being deemed expendable due to the return of Cole Van Lanen and new signings.
Linebacker Yasir Abdullah was claimed off waivers by the Atlanta Falcons, securing a spot on their 53-man roster. Abdullah, drafted in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, played three seasons with the Jaguars, appearing in 29 games.
Running back DeeJay Dallas, who had a brief stint with the Jaguars last season, has been signed to the Minnesota Vikings' practice squad after being outperformed by rookie J'Mari Taylor.
Tight end Patrick Herbert, brother of Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert, has also moved on, signing with the Los Angeles Chargers' practice squad after spending last season with the Jaguars.
