Parker Washington’s performance has changed the contract outlook for the Jacksonville Jaguars receiver, who is playing the final season of his rookie deal without an extension. An ESPN NFL insider cited a potential future contract worth more than $25 million per year if Washington continues producing.
Washington, 24, was selected in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL draft after playing at Penn State. He stands 5 feet, 10 inches tall and finished last season with 58 receptions, 847 yards and five touchdowns.
He opened the 2026 season with five catches for 83 yards and a touchdown in Jacksonville’s 34-10 victory over the Cleveland Browns at EverBank Stadium on Sept. 13. The game was played in Jacksonville, Florida.
ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler compared Washington’s situation to that of Indianapolis receiver Alec Pierce, who received a four-year, $114 million contract after recording his first 1,000-yard season. Fowler’s report said Washington could increase his value substantially by performing well in his fourth season.
The article also identified Brian Thomas Jr.’s future contract as a factor Jacksonville could eventually have to consider. Thomas has not matched his rookie-season production, according to the report, but the Jaguars continue to view him as an important player.
