Miami Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley stated that wide receiver Chris Bell will not be limited by a snap count during the team's Week One matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. The announcement clarifies the status of the third-round draft pick, who was selected from Louisville in the 2026 NFL Draft.
Prior to the season, Bell was projected as a late first-round selection before suffering an ACL tear in November of the previous year. That injury led to expectations that the receiver might be eased back into action or miss the first half of his rookie campaign.
However, Bell's recovery has progressed quickly, resulting in his designation as a starter for the upcoming game in Las Vegas.
Hafley addressed the media in South Florida to confirm the player's full availability. "We're going to play him — see how he feels — but, there's no pitch count on Chris," the coach said. This decision allows Bell to participate fully in the offense from the start of the contest.
The Dolphins' receiving corps will feature several new faces alongside Bell. Quarterback Malik Willis is set to make his first start with Miami, supported by fellow rookies Caleb Douglas and Kevin Coleman Jr. The group also includes Malik Washington and tight end Greg Dulcich. De'Von Achane remains a key component of the offensive lineup as well.
