The Jacksonville Jaguars have completed their roster cuts, finalizing their 53-man squad for the 2026-2027 NFL season as of Sunday.

Trevor Lawrence will lead the quarterback position, supported by Quinn Ewers, who was recently acquired from the Miami Dolphins. The Jaguars waived undrafted free agent Joey Aguilar, who had shown promise during the preseason.

In the running back department, the Jaguars will feature three main runners alongside veteran Ameer Abdullah, who had an impressive preseason average of 7.5 yards per carry. Bhayshul Tuten and Chris Rodriguez Jr. are expected to be the starters, with Abdullah and LeQuint Allen Jr. providing additional depth after the departure of Travis Etienne.

The receiving corps includes two undrafted rookies, CJ Williams and Josh Cameron, both of whom performed well in training camp. They will serve as depth behind the starters and bring experience as punt returners, which adds versatility to the special teams unit. Cameron had notable returns in the Jaguars' preseason win against the New Orleans Saints.

Defensively, the Jaguars chose to reinforce their defensive line, retaining eleven players in that area. Key players include Joshua Hines-Allen and Travon Walker, with Bryan Thomas Jr. and Wesley Williams also contributing. Thomas secured his roster spot with a standout performance against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, recording five tackles, four quarterback hits, 2.5 sacks, and a pass break-up.

One notable cut was cornerback Jabbar Muhammad, who had been seen as a promising player after spending last season on the practice squad. Despite being recognized as the most improved player by head coach Liam Coen, Muhammad's lack of production during the preseason led to his release.

The Jaguars are noted for having one of the youngest rosters in the NFL, with the fourth-lowest average age, according to NFL Analyst Bill Speros. The combination of youthful talent and experienced players positions Jacksonville as a contender for the AFC South title this season.
