The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced the acquisition of quarterback Quinn Ewers from the Miami Dolphins. The trade involves a sixth-round selection in the 2028 NFL Draft, pending a physical examination of Ewers.
Ewers, 23, was selected by Miami in the seventh round of the 2025 NFL Draft, being the 231st overall pick. During his rookie season, he appeared in four games, starting three, and completed 66.3% of his passes, totaling 622 yards and three touchdowns.
A native of San Antonio, Texas, Ewers played college football at Texas and Ohio State. Over his college career from 2021 to 2024, he completed 737 of 1,135 passes, amassing 9,128 yards and 68 touchdowns. He notably led the Texas Longhorns to College Football Playoff appearances in two of his three seasons with the program.
