The statewide average in Florida stands at $3.8240, while the national average is $3.8760. Drivers in the Jacksonville area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Jacksonville average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8830. Regular prices are about 6 cents lower than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $2.9080, drivers are paying about 92 cents more per gallon.
Diesel in the Jacksonville area averages $4.8710 per gallon, AAA reported.
