Nocatee, Florida — Gas prices in the Jacksonville area averaged $3.9580 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 16, 2026, according to AAA, up from $3.9010 yesterday. That is up from $3.7980 a week ago but higher than $3.7670 a month ago.
The statewide average in Florida stands at $3.9520, while the national average is $3.9430. Drivers in the Jacksonville area are paying above the state average and above the national average.
The Jacksonville average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8830. Regular prices are about 19 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $3.0660, drivers are paying about 89 cents more per gallon.
