Nocatee, Florida — Gas prices in the Jacksonville area averaged $3.9630 per gallon for regular unleaded on July 17, 2026, according to AAA, up from $3.9580 yesterday. That is up from $3.8560 a week ago but higher than $3.7320 a month ago.
The statewide average in Florida stands at $3.9630, while the national average is $3.9810. Drivers in the Jacksonville area are paying equal to the state average and below the national average.
The Jacksonville average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8830. Regular prices are about 23 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $3.1370, drivers are paying about 83 cents more per gallon.
