The statewide average in Florida stands at $4.4229, while the national average is $4.4918. Drivers in the Jacksonville area are paying above the state average and below the national average.
The Jacksonville average remains below its AAA recorded high of $4.8830. Regular prices are about 65 cents higher than a month ago. Compared with a year ago, when the metro average was $3.0040, drivers are paying about 146 cents more per gallon.
