Riviera 89 has recently opened at 100 Marketside Ave, Suite 305, within the Nocatee Town Center. The new establishment occupies a roughly 1,860-square-foot space previously held by Catullo's Italian, which ceased operations in June after three years of business.

The restaurant is led by Anthony and Emeric Roy Perruccio, a pair of veteran French restaurateurs. This marks their first location in the United States, following the launch of Sous Un Ciel d'Italie in Riedisheim, France, in early 2018. That previous venue was situated near the borders of Germany and Switzerland.

The couple stated that they selected Nocatee after spending several months scouting other Florida cities, citing the area's welcoming atmosphere and sense of community as key factors. They also noted that Florida presents a more business-friendly environment for opening a restaurant compared to France.

The menu reflects the owners' tagline, "Italian Kitchen with French Soul," by combining elements from both culinary traditions. Emeric Roy Perruccio described the concept as a mix of Italian and French kitchens, aiming to offer the best of both. The kitchen features pasta imported from Italy, scratch-made sauces, risotto, and homemade desserts.

Many of the dishes draw inspiration from the cuisine of Alsace, the owners' home region in France.

Diners can select from various pasta shapes, including spaghetti, penne, rigatoni, and gnocchi, paired with sauces such as pomodoro aglio, olio e peperoncino, Arrabbiata, Pesto Verde, Alfredo, carbonara, and Bolognese. Add-on toppings include salmon, meatballs, shrimp, and cured meats.

Signature items include Gnocchi alla Sorrentina, baked with mozzarella and Parmigiano Reggiano, and a dish called Paris Paris, which features truffle cream, black pepper, Parmesan, and Parisian ham. Some pasta is served in an in-house-made pizza dough bowl, a style the owners noted is popular in France.

French specialties on the menu include three types of quiche: Lorraine with bacon and cheese, Du Soleil with vegetables and cheese, and Des Alpes with Gorgonzola, pears, and roasted walnuts. The Des Alpes quiche is inspired by the eastern part of France. Other French offerings include classic French onion soup, Croque-Monsieur, and steak frites.

The menu also lists two types of risotto, Cheese Amore and Truffle Merci, along with four varieties of Pinsa Romana, burgers, and salads.
