Tampa Bay Buccaneers cornerback Jacob Parrish is inactive for the team's Week 2 game against the Cleveland Browns after suffering a back injury in the season opener against Cincinnati.
The Buccaneers also ruled out cornerback Ayden Garnes, defensive linemen Elijah Simmons and DeMonta Capehart, and offensive linemen Billy Schrauth and Luke Haggard. Parrish is a second-year player who had been expected to contribute in Tampa Bay's secondary.
With Parrish and Garnes unavailable, Fox Sports NFL reporter Greg Auman said the Buccaneers would need Zyon McCollum and Benjamin Morrison to remain healthy. Auman also identified Kevin Knowles and nickel cornerback Keionte Scott as possible options if Tampa Bay needs another cornerback.
Parrish was removed from the Week 1 game against the Cincinnati Bengals because of the injury. Tampa Bay, the Tampa Bay Times and ESPN each reported during that game that he had been ruled out, with Morrison continuing in his place.
