Nocatee, Florida — Florida officials announced an aerospace-company expansion and a new international partnership during the state’s business-development mission to the United Kingdom.

Gov. Ron DeSantis said Relativity Space has committed to expanding its operations on Florida’s Space Coast, with the project expected to bring capital investment and thousands of high-skill jobs. The announcement did not specify a total investment amount or a construction schedule.

Space Florida and the United Kingdom Space Agency also signed a memorandum of understanding intended to advance cooperation in the space sector. The governor’s office described the agreement as part of an existing commercial and educational relationship between Florida and the United Kingdom.

The announcement was made July 20 at the Farnborough International Airshow. The governor’s office said Florida and the United Kingdom recorded more than $4.1 billion in bilateral merchandise trade in 2025, with Florida-origin exports accounting for $1.3 billion.

St. Johns County residents are connected to the statewide economy through Florida employers, education systems and transportation networks.
