Nocatee families have a long window to save on back-to-school shopping this year.

Florida's back-to-school sales tax holiday runs from Monday, July 20, through Thursday, August 20, 2026, a full month of tax-free shopping on many school and clothing items.

During the holiday, the following are exempt from sales tax: - Clothing, footwear and certain accessories priced $100 or less per item - School supplies priced $50 or less per item - Learning aids and jigsaw puzzles priced $30 or less per item - Personal computers and certain accessories priced $1,500 or less - Backpacks, handbags and similar bags priced $100 or less

The exemption does not apply to purchases made at a theme park, entertainment complex, public lodging establishment or airport, and it does not cover the rental or repair of any items.
